Fee Structure

Projects/consultation: Costs are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Our objective is to minimize the costs of start-up projects that will lead to joint grant applications. In cases where joint funding is not appropriate, charges will be structured to recover personnel, consumables, equipment (pro-rated), and overhead/administrative costs.

Equipment: Equipment is currently available for use by IUB groups when it is not being used for in-house or collaborative projects. A prorated service fee may be levied on high maintenance equipment including: liquid handling robots (Biorobot 3000 & BiomekFX), microarray printer (Omnigrid), microarray scanner (GenePix 4000), DHPLC (Wave). Until further notice, the use of all other equipment will continue to be free of charge.
